In Grade 1 English class, students explored the exciting topic of “Rhyming Words” through an engaging and interactive activity. To help children understand rhyming words, a fun game was organized where students were shown picture cards and word cards. They had to find and match words that ended with the same sound, such as cat–hat, sun–fun, and dog–log.
The activity encouraged students to listen carefully to sounds, think creatively, and actively participate in classroom discussions. Children enjoyed identifying rhyming pairs and sharing their own examples with friends . Rhyming activities help children improve their vocabulary, pronunciation, and phonics awareness. They also strengthen listening skills, memory, and confidence while speaking.
