Learning to Brush the Right Way!

Learning to Brush the Right Way! (1)

At our Montessori, learning goes beyond books—we focus on life skills too! Our KG1 children recently took part in a fun brushing activity, where each child brought their own toothbrush and learned the correct way to brush. Teachers guided them on how to brush, rinse, and spit, ensuring healthy teeth and good hygiene.

The children also asked questions like “What are germs?” and “What is cavity?” which made the activity interactive and meaningful. Through such hands-on experiences, our little ones develop habits that keep them healthy for life.

Animals Around Us (Wild Animals)

Animals Around Us (Wild Animals) (1)

Grade – 1 (All Sections)

To make learning fun and engaging, students of grade 1, recently presented a role play. They were introduced to the fascinating world of wild animals, where lion roars, elephant stomps, bear growls and rabbit hops.
It was wonderful to see how excited the kids were as they played the role of different animals. The activity helped all the students of grade 1 to understand about wild animals, their habitat and how they survive using their instincts.
Through this activity students learnt about difference between wild and domestic animals, explored how these animals live, what they eat and why it is important to protect both the animals and their natural habitats The activity not only helped them understand wild animals, their habitats, and survival instincts but also served as a valuable experience in creating stage presence and performing in front of an audience.

The children gained confidence as they portrayed different animals, learning how to project their voices and express the unique behaviors of each creature. It was inspiring to see how comfortable they became in front of their peers, gaining exposure to performing in a supportive environment. The stage became a space where they could explore their creativity and develop important public speaking skills in a fun and relaxed setting.
The activity aimed at sparking curiosity and respect for wildlife, guiding students on an engaging journey into animal kingdom.

Little Explorers on a Transport Journey!

Little Explorers on a Transport Journey! (7)

Our KG2 children recently went on an exciting learning adventure with the theme “Modes of Transport.” With the help of creative props and creative charts they enthusiastically matched different vehicles to their correct mode of transport – land, water, or air.

The best part? The children didn’t just match them; they explained why! We heard curious voices saying, “Not all vehicles go everywhere… some fly in the sky, some float on water, and some run only on roads.” Their excitement filled the room as they proudly identified which transport belongs where.

Through this hands-on activity, our little learners discovered that each vehicle has a unique purpose, and not all are suitable for every surface. They learned the value of observation, reasoning, and classification – all while having fun!

For our KG2 students, it wasn’t just about vehicles; it was about thinking, questioning, and exploring the world around them.

Activity: Making A Footprint Using Palm (Grade 5)

Activity Making A Footprint Using Palm (Grade 5) (2)

To connect a craft activity with literature and make the story more meaningful, Grade 5 students created “footprints” on paper using their painted palms—symbolizing the crucial moment in Robinson Crusoe when he discovers a footprint on the sand. This instantly made the story come alive for them. During the activity, students expressed how surprised and anxious Crusoe must have felt on seeing that footprint, and some even imagined the mix of curiosity and fear he experienced. Many shared that stepping into Crusoe’s shoes through this creative exercise helped them better understand his emotions. The activity not only deepened their connection to the story but also encouraged them to think critically and empathetically about the character’s experience.

Learning Through Patterns – A Fun Activity for Our Nursery Kids

Learning Through Patterns – A Fun Activity for Our Nursery Kids (1)

At our Montessori, learning is always hands-on and joyful!
Our nursery students recently participated in an engaging color pattern activity. The children were given a sequence of colours to follow, and their task was to pick the right colour balls and place them in the same order as the pattern described.

Through this playful exercise, our little learners:

Concentrated on observing and following instructions carefully.

Identified and matched colours with confidence.

Thought logically while arranging the balls step by step.

Developed a sense of order and sequencing.

Exploring Grammar and Creativity Through Models

Exploring Grammar and Creativity Through Models (4)

Our middle school students from Grades 6 to 9 brought learning to life through innovative model-making activities that blended creativity with academics. Each grade explored a different concept, showcasing their knowledge, imagination, and presentation skills.
Purpose of These Activities :-
• Strengthen understanding of core grammar concepts and futuristic ideas.
• Connect academics with real-life usage and imagination.
• Build clarity, creativity, confidence, and communication skills.
• Blend hands-on learning with innovative thinking.
Learning Outcomes :-
By the end of these activities, students:
• Gained clearer understanding of grammar concepts (Nouns, Pronouns, Adjectives) and innovative ideas for education.
• Improved their expression, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
• Experienced how art, imagination, and technology can enrich learning.
• Displayed confidence in presenting knowledge through colorful, attractive, and meaningful models.
This way, all four grades are presented together under a common theme of “Blending Creativity with Academics”.

Exploring Soluble and Insoluble Substances

Exploring Soluble and Insoluble Substances (1)

Today, our young scientists enjoyed a fun activity on soluble and insoluble substances. The teacher demonstrated how some materials like sugar and salt easily dissolve in water, while others like sand and chalk powder do not. Students observed the changes, discussed their findings, and eagerly shared examples from daily life.

The simple hands-on experiment not only made the concept clear but also sparked curiosity about how different substances behave in water. It was a joyful blend of learning and discovery, making science both exciting and easy to understand!

Unlocking Creativity “Complete the Drawing” Activity

Unlocking Creativity “Complete the Drawing” Activity 2025 (6)

At our Montessori, we believe every child is an explorer and creator. To nurture this spirit, our children recently enjoyed the “Complete the Drawing” activity.

Each child received half of a picture—like a sun, flower, or aeroplane—and was asked to finish it. What amazed us was their imagination: a half sun became a ball, an aeroplane turned into a rainbow, and many more delightful surprises emerged.

The purpose of this activity was not just drawing, but to:

Encourage creative thinking beyond set patterns.

Strengthen visual perception and observation.

Build confidence and individuality.

Develop focus and problem-solving skills.

By the end, the classroom was filled not just with drawings, but with joy, laughter, and unique ideas. It was a true reminder of the Montessori belief that when children are given freedom, they create wonders.

A Model of Army Base Camp

A Model of Army Base Camp (1)

As part of their learning, our KG-1 children were given the choice to pick a topic on people who contribute to our nation, our homes, and our lives. With this thought, Ms. Anaya Gadgil chose to make an Army Base Camp Model with her parents.

Her parents took great interest in the project, working closely with Anaya through collaboration,
coordination, and creativity. Together, they planned, shared ideas, and built watch towers, tanks,
helipads, bunkers, and soldiers on duty.

While making the model at home, Anaya learned the value of teamwork, discipline, patience, and
imagination. She also developed fine motor skills while cutting, pasting, and arranging different parts.

Most importantly, she experienced the joy of working hand-in-hand with her parents, turning the
project into a memory of learning and bonding.

This effort became not just a model, but a loving tribute to the Indian Army and a lesson in respect forthose who protect us.

Learning is best remembered when it is discovered through play.

Learning Through Play (1)

To make learning interactive and joyful, our students recently took part in a Rainwater Cycle Puzzle Activity connected to their English chapter.

In this activity, students were given puzzle pieces representing different stages of the rainwater cycle such as evaporation, condensation, precipitation, and collection. They had to arrange these parts in the correct order using their knowledge and teamwork.

It was inspiring to watch how enthusiastically the children collaborated, discussed, and solved the puzzle. The activity not only reinforced their understanding of the rainwater cycle but also developed their problem-solving skills, teamwork, and curiosity.

Such engaging classroom moments show that learning becomes more meaningful when it is hands-on and fun.
